Barnett Waddingham was established in 1989 as a partnership of consulting actuaries. The 22 partners and 250 staff are based in six offices throughout the UK providing advice which is innovative and relevant to our clients.

We provide actuarial, consultancy, and administration services for corporate pension plans. We provide advice to plan sponsors on benefit design and strategic investment objectives and have an enviable reputation in the field of advising on the pension implications of buying and selling businesses. Our life assurance consultancy provides Appointed Actuary services and advises UK and European insurance companies on policy design, reserving (including US GAAP calculations) and embedded value calculations. We also prepare the UK national mortality and ill-health statistics from data provided to us from all the major UK insurers.

Recent developments in the UK insurance market has enabled us to enter into outsourcing and partnership arrangements with insurance companies to provide the full range of actuarial and consulting advice and administration services for their pension fund clients.
